Philips show a video about a incredible OLED lighting installation in London. The London based design studio random international developed this interactive art work named “You Fade To Light”. Using a total of 1064 Philips warm white Lumiblade OLEDs the rAndom International team created a suspended wall of light which reacted to people’s movements as they walked in front of it

Solar Cell e-Book from LG Display

LG Display unveiled an e-book that is equipped with in-house developed solar cell. The thin-film solar cell featured in the e-book measures 10 centimeters in width and length, it was developed to perfectly fit the 6-inch display panel for e-book currently mass produced by LG Display.

Mitsubishi show 155 inch OLED-Tv consists of 720 10-centimeter-square panels

Mitsubishi Electric show at the CEATEC-2009 a 155 inch OLED-TV device consists of 720 10-centimeter-square OLED blocks that can be rearranged to change the dimensions of the display using Mitsubishi’s Aurora Vision LED screens at baseball stadiums. The screen is three times brighter than regular liquid crystal display TVs. read more

iSuppli: OLED TV revenues to rise by a factor of 200

Shipments of OLED TV panels will account for only a tiny portion of the global TV market during the next six years, despite a nearly 200 times increase in AMOLED panel revenues during the same period, according to iSuppli. Consumers are turned on by the bright, clear pictures produced by OLED TVs, but they are tuning out to the smaller-sizes and prohibitively high prices of these sets.
