Kodak completes the sale of their OLED unit to LG

Kodak announced today that it has completed the previously announced sale of its OLED business to an entity set up by a group of LG companies. I guess we now wait to see how LG handles their new OLED IP and technologies. There are rumors that they will create a new entity called LG OLED to handle all OLED business within the group.

Rumor: Motorola to launch 2 new Android phones with OLED displays

There are rumors that Motorola are going to announce 2 new Android phones at CES, one for AT&T and one for the Verizon, both with OLED displays The AT&T phone will have a physical keyboard and will run the “Google experiences” software environment, rather than the company’s proprietary MotoBlur software. The Verizon phone will not have a keyboard.

Lomox Limited is a startup company from north wales and is founded for around two years. Lomox awarded more than 450.000 Pfund from the government to accelerate the development of OLED lighting . Ken Lacey, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer want to introduce the first OLED lighting devices for outdoor lighing in 2012

Source: cnwnews I remembered that I saw this one at the Mall while strolling around with my kids. I asked the Sales Lady if it has an OLED but the Girl seems no idea what am I talking about. The same is true for mobile Phone market, that a large number of new phones to market makes the consumer become more extensive by choice

This design concept from Ashish Chaudhary shows a pocket size scanner which is mad up of three segments. Screen, Power unit and storage. The display screen comprises of a three-layer roll out scanning bed, where the upper and bottom layers are OLED screens for the illumination and the central layer features capacitive and photo sensors that capture the scanned data
