LG Display will invest 225.7 Million Dollars in their new OLED mass production lines. Today LG Displays Vice president announced that in 2012 the new 5.5 gen, 3-line production system is ready to mass produce 50 inch OLED-Tv panels with one production line. read more

LG Display show new high efficient 15 inch W-OLED panel at SID-2010

LG Display shows a new 15 inch W-Oled panel at the SID-2010. With this new technology LG Display can improve lifetime and avoid discolouration. The problem is that green is brighter, red does have a higher lifetime than blue. In a standard panel the aging process starts immediately, so the brightness from the RGB colours have to be checked do avoid colour changes at the panel. read more

LG Display invest $225.7 million dollars to triple OLED capacity

LG Display want to triple their OLED production capacity. To reach this goal LG will invest 225.7 Million Dollars. LG plans to expand its monthly OLED output capacity to 12,000 glass sheets in the latter half of 2011, from the current 4,000. It plans to mass produce OLEDs in the third quarter this year. read more
