Update: We also found a video of TDK’s transparent PMOLED, see below Yesterday we reported about TDK’s new 3.5″ (256×64) flexible PMOLED panels. Today we found a new short video showing the color one: TDK says that the contrast, brightness and lifetime are “almost the same as TDK’s existing glass-subtrate PMOLEDs”. LG shows a new 15" W-OLED display

LG has developed a new 15″ WOLED display. In this display, RGB is achieved by using a white AMOLED pixel with a color filter. The resolution is 1366×768, the brightness is 200 nits (peak:450nits), color gamut 100% and the contrast is 100,000:1. read more

Comboled project developed an efficient transparent white OLED

The CombOLED project together with CEA-LETI (a French research laboratory) has developed an efficient transparent white OLED . The Small-Molecule OLED has a 5 x 5 cm2 active emitting area, which is deposited using thermal evaporation and encapsulated using ultra-thin layers.
